Dr Mohsen Feyzi completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Flinders University in 2023. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at Flinders University, working on the mechanical behaviour of vertical-axis wind turbines from the solids design and manufacturing viewpoints. His PhD focused on tribocorrosion at metal-on-metal interfaces using analytical and experimental approaches. In his PhD, Dr Feyzi developed a new analytical framework for modelling the tribocorrosion current in contacts with various material combinations. His overall research direction aims to provide a solid basis for more innovative and sustainable use of techniques, adapt and analyse materials, and energy resources to enhance production sustainability and efficiency and reduce undesirable waste in resources. Implementation of advanced techniques, quantification, simulation, and mitigation of damage mechanisms are his utmost research interests, to ultimately propose design/manufacture modifications.  Specifically, his expertise includes Tribology, Advanced Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, CAD/CAM, FEM, Continuum Damage Mechanics, Failure, and Fracture.
