Peter Beaglehole is a playwright. His work has been performed in ATYP’s Intersection 2017, published by Currency press, and in the 2013 Come Out Festival (Now DreamBIG Children’s Festival). His play Strata was a finalist in 2018 for the Jill Blewett Playwright’s Award and won the Young Playwright’s Award in 2016. He received a 2018 Carclew Fellowship to develop his new play Petrichor with the mentorship of Mary Anne Butler.
He also completed a PhD in Australian theatre history, focusing on six plays by Dorothy Hewett and approaching them from the field of Memory Studies.
