Phillipa van Essen

Phillipa is a clinical research coordinator for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit at Flinders Medical Centre. She also has academic status at Flinders University for her work supervising medical students completing their Advanced Studies research activities. Part of her role is contributing research expertise to the Flinders University Research Group for Gender Affirming Surgery (FURGGAS). Her key research areas involve Patient Related Outcome Measures (PROMs) in Plastic surgery, particularly Breast Reconstruction and Hand Surgery. She has experience with developing and maintaining data management systems using platforms like REDCap and Qualtrics.
