Key responsibilities

Rebecca is the Course Coordinator for the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and maintains leadership responsibilty for this Degree.

Rebecca holds active membership and responsibility in the following groups:

  • Social Work Leadership (planning) Group
  • Teaching and Learning Coordination Group
  • Workload Consultation Advisory Group
  • Social Work Student Consultation Committee

Rebecca has responsibilty as the Topic Coordinator for both the BSW SOAD3013 Children and Families: Wellbeing and Protection topic and BSW SOAD4007 Field Education topic. Additionally, Rebecca also works as a Field Education Liaison across both the BSW and Masters of Social Work (MSW) programs.

Teaching interests

Rebecca is a Topic Coordinator in a BSW Field Education Final topic, as well as Topic Coordinator in a Child Protection topic, Children and Families: Well-being and Protection.

Rebecca's teaching areas of interest include:

  • strengths-based practice
  • domestic violence

Rebecca has a specific interest in critically analysing structural, political and systemic influences, that either impede, and/or enhance social work student learning, practice and best outcomes for clients.
