Richard Allan

Richard comes from a background in ultrasound imaging. He has had extensive experience in clinically based research into the use of diagnostic ultrasound imaging. He joined the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in 2011 as senior vascular scientist with responsibility for advanced ultrasound imaging techniques, clinical and research databases, the Vascular Diagnostic Unit and the Robert K Foreman research laboratory.

His current major research focus is in the use of intra-vascular ultrasound (IVUS) in endovascular interventional therapies, for which he has been awarded a 2015 Heart Foundation Scholarship.
