Professor Fraser was appointed to the position of Head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology for the Southern Adelaide Local Hospital Network based at Flinders Medical Centre in 2012. Prior to this he was the Gwendolyn Michell Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide and subsequently Director of the Investigation and Procedures Unit at the Repatriation General Hospital. He has clinical and research interests in the areas of gastrointestinal motility, nutrition and colorectal neoplasia. He is a member of the Specialist Advisory Committee for Gastroenterology and the state coordinator for Advanced Training in the discipline. He has authored more than 150 peer reviewed publications and received 10 research grants from the NHMRC as well grant support from other national and local funding bodies.
