Dr Salmin Mostafa is a lecturer and topic coordinator for Accounting and Business topics, at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, at Flinders University. She is also the course (program) coordinator for the undergraduate Accounting, Finance, Business Economics and Commerce Programs.
Salmin has extensive experience in teaching, both in Australia and overseas. Prior to moving to Australia in 2012, Salmin has had a range of teaching experience in Bangladesh. Salmin started teaching at a tertiary level in 2014. Her teaching experience ranges from foundational level Accounting and Business topics (such as, Accounting for Managers and Economics for Business) to more advanced level topics (such as Auditing and Assurance and Taxation Law).
Salmin has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and PhD in Accounting. Her research interests include earnings management, corporate social responsibility (CSR), organisation capital, financial distress and national culture.
Salmin is passionate about teaching and enhancing active learning and engagement, while addressing differentiated learning needs to maximise students' learning outcomes.
