Dr Sharyn Goudie is a Research Associate at Centre for Crime Policy and Research. She has a PhD in Sociology, Criminology and Gender Studies and a Masters' in Public Administration. Prior to academia, Sharyn has worked for fifteen years in the not-for-profit sector working with young people and those experiencing homelessness and mental ill-health. Sharyn is particularly focused on the intersection of social policy and vulnerable parties. More recently, she has been exploring the role of drug markets on communities and individuals including working on a pilot project looking into regional methamphetamine markets. Currently Sharyn is a Research Fellow in Flinders Social Work Innovation Research Living Space (SWIRLS) working on projects related to a home centred approach to child protection and strengthening the domestic and family violence workforce.
