Prior to leaving Flinders University, I was a Senior Lecturer in Health Professions Education with roles in both the Flinders Doctor of Medicine (MD) program and the Prideaux Discipline of Clinical Education.

In the MD, I led the Professional Development and Learning Portfolio and Learning Coach initiative (2020 - 2026). In the Prideaux Discipline of Clinical Education, I taught into the Master of Clinical Education course (2018 - 2026), supervised postgraduate students on a range of health professions education research topics, and conducted my own research and scholarship in health professions education.

I am a passionate educator and researcher. I draw on my background in secondary education and my experience in pre-service teacher education to contribute to health professions education.

I am an experienced qualitative researcher and have used case study methodology, and scoping review methodology, in addition to other qualitative approaches to research.

I thrive on supporting learners and educators and meaningfully contributing to health professions education through research and scholarship to improve the education of the health workforce - and, ultimately, patient care.

I currently supervise five PhD candidates on a range of topics in health professions education, including: paramedicine educator needs; engagement of GPs in CPD for meaningful lifelong learning; planetary health teaching and learning in university medical education; medical educator identity development; and developing reflective practice amongst paramedicine students.

I also conduct research as part of my role at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as the Principal Lead - Monitoring, Evaluation and Accreditation.
