Tania Crawford

I am a Teaching Specialist in Initial Teacher Education at Flinders University, contributing to the preparation of future teachers through teaching, curriculum development, and Initial Teacher Education (ITE) accreditation and quality assurance.

My career spans classroom teaching, teacher education, educational leadership, teacher regulation, accreditation, and national education policy. Prior to joining Flinders University, I held senior leadership roles across the Australian education sector, leading strategic initiatives that strengthened teacher quality, professional standards, ITE accreditation, and educational reform.

I have worked collaboratively with universities, government agencies, teacher regulatory authorities, professional associations and education sectors to support high-quality teacher education and improve outcomes for teachers and students. This breadth of experience enables me to connect educational theory with contemporary practice, policy and professional expectations.
