Dr Christine (Tin) Ablaza is a quantitative social scientist with a background in economics and quantitative sociology. Her research leverages advanced quantitative methods to examine different aspects of economic and social disadvantage in Australia and internationally. She has published in highly ranked interdisciplinary journals on a range of topics such as precarious employment, housing and homelessness, domestic violence, and gender and sexual minorities.

Prior to joining Flinders University, Tin was a Research Fellow at The University of Queensland's Centre for Policy Futures where she led the Work Futures and Economic Security research cluster. She also brings a wealth of experience in industry, having worked at Deloitte Access Economics, the World Bank (Philippines and Indonesia), and the Asian Development Bank.
