Vanessa is a Senior Lecturer, Education and Academic Lead in the Discipline of Rural and Remote Health South Australia and Topic Coordinator of Facilitating Interprofessional Learning (9112) in the Masters of Clinical Education. She lives and works in Rural South Australia and is based at Flinders University Victor Harbor Campus. Vanessa has a passion for building stronger rural communities through education and research. Her rural clinical background in Nursing and Midwifery Practice includes Acute, Aboriginal, General Practice and Community settings.
Her background provides a strong foundation to scaffold clinical education relevant to the rural context. Vanessa's interest in collaborative practice and work ready graduates to improve patient outcomes, underpins her approach to the design and delivery of student learning.
Vanessa is currently enrolled in a Research Higher Degree looking at Medical Students and the transfer of interprofessional learning into collaborative practice.
