Experienced Aboriginal research assistant who has worked in both in clinical and lab based (microbiology) research. I am especially interested in the eGFR3 Kidney Health Study led by Professor Jaqui Hughes which is following up a cohort of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults from 2007, who are living in 5 different regions across Australia and investigating what has contributed to their kidney health over time.
Registered Nurse. Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing (Emergency), Bachelor of Biological Science (Microbiology/ Zoology).
Organise study visits to communities involved in the original cohort and contact trace previous participants to invite them to participate in a third kidney health check with eGFR3 Kidney Health Study. Data collection includes qualitative interviewing, anthropometric measures, data entry and administration duties. Provide administrative support for the eGFR3 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Governance Group and facilitate two way communication between the community members, stakeholders and research staff.
