Dr Zuby Osman

Dr Zuby Osman is an accomplished pracademic, leadership educator, researcher, certified global Emotional Intelligence (EQ) coach, and internationally accredited Enneagram practitioner and trainer. With more than 24 years of leadership experience spanning higher education, financial services, organisational development, and executive education across Asia-Pacific, she is recognised for her ability to bridge academic rigour with real-world industry application to develop future-ready leaders and organisations.

Dr Osman teaches across postgraduate and undergraduate programs in Strategic Management, Innovation, Career Readiness, Professional Skills, Resilience, and Healthcare Management. She is a core member of the University's Transnational Education academic team and delivers Strategic Management in Healthcare within the Master of Health Administration program, including international teaching engagements at Nankai University, China. Through her teaching, she integrates academic scholarship, industry practice, and global perspectives to prepare graduates for leadership in complex and rapidly evolving environments.

Beyond teaching, Dr Osman is an active researcher whose work focuses on leadership, workforce capability, mental wellbeing, career motivations, organisational performance, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. 

Prior to entering academia, Dr Osman held several senior leadership positions with leading international organisations including Great Eastern Life, AXA, Zurich Life, Prudential, Aviva, and AIA. Most notably, as Vice President and Head of the Centre for Excellence at Great Eastern Life Singapore, she led regional distribution capability and leadership transformation initiatives across multiple Asian markets. She oversaw advisor development, leadership pipelines, digital learning transformation, and organisational capability strategies that directly impacted recruitment, productivity, customer outcomes, and business performance. Under her leadership, her team received the prestigious Insurance Asia Education Insurance Initiative of the Year Award in both 2022 and 2023. She was also recognised as the first Learning and Development leader in Asia to attain the Chartered Insurance Agency Manager (CIAM) designation, reflecting her pioneering contributions to professional development within the insurance and financial advisory sectors.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr Osman is deeply committed to community service and social impact. She has dedicated more than two decades as a volunteer with Make-A-Wish Singapore and has been recognised by the National Council of Social Services for her longstanding contributions to community wellbeing. Guided by a strong pay it forward philosophy of “From my Best to Your Best to Our Collective Best”, she continues to mentor emerging professionals and aspiring leaders, helping them realise their potential and create meaningful impact in their organisations and communities.
