Description
The Adelaide PHN Indigenous Medical Scholarship has been generously funded by Adelaide PHN to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students in their third and fourth years of the Doctor of Medicine program at Flinders University's College of Medicine and Public Health. Adelaide PHN, the local Primary Health Network (PHN) for the Adelaide region, is committed to shaping the health system to deliver better outcomes for vulnerable people and a healthier Adelaide.

Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded based on financial need and the applicant’s demonstrated passion for pursuing a career in primary care. Specifically, preference will be given to applicants who have attained a prior degree and/or worked in a primary care field, including but not limited to: nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dentistry, paramedicine, pharmacology, and allied health fields.
Preference will be given to South Australia-based applicants.
Selection will be undertaken by a panel comprising representatives from the College of Medicine and Public Health and the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement in conjunction with Student Finance and Scholarships.
