Description
We are seeking an outstanding clinician PhD candidate for a project entitled: Cancer Survivorship in General Practice in Australia. This opportunity is part of a larger international program of research which aims to:
1) quantify the extent to which survivorship care is being delivered in primary care in Australia; 2) define survivorship educational needs of GPs and primary care teams; 3) develop core survivorship competencies for GPs and primary care teams; 4) co-design, implement and evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of targeted strategies for maximising the role of primary care in survivorship including optimising interprofessional collaboration and referrals to allied health using a systems thinking approach, evaluating the effectiveness of different funding models, and elevating the role of the practice nurse.
One PhD scholarship is available to GPs or primary care (practice) nurses/nurse practitioners at Flinders University (Principal Supervisor A/Prof Carolyn Ee).

The Principal Supervisor may invite you to apply and request a written proposal, a copy of your CV together with a covering letter outlining your relevant qualifications, experience, research experience and reasons for applying for the scholarship.
Applicants will be shortlisted and interviews will be held the week commencing 8 Dec 2025. Outcomes will be released by 17th Dec 2025.
The successful candidate will ideally begin by February 2026, subject to negotiation (and not later than August 2026).
