Department for Housing and Urban Development Scholarship

Description

This scholarship has been established by funding and support of the Minister for Planning through the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The scholarship will assist students studying the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning at Flinders University.

Benefits

Each Scholarship will have a value of $5,000 to be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.

Up to 5 Scholarships will be available per annum for the duration of the funding period.

Eligibility

Scholarship recipients must:

• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident of Australia or permanent humanitarian visa holder; and
• commencing the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning; and
• enrolled full-time at Flinders University; and
• in receipt of means-tested government payments or able to demonstrate financial hardship.

*Scholarships are available to part-time students in exceptional circumstances, which include (but are not limited to) disability, illness or carer responsibilities. Part-time scholarship recipients will be paid pro-rata.

Selection Criteria

The Scholarship selection will be based on interest in a career in urban planning, the extent to which the scholarship will assist their studies, and financial need.

Selection of the candidate(s) will be made following procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration.
