Matthew Lawyers Disability Forensic Science Scholarship

Description

Flinders graduate Eugenia (Jenny) Matthews of Matthews Lawyers has established the Scholarship to support students living with a disability that impacts their learning and are keen to pursue their educational goals. The scholarship aims to help students overcome learning difficulties and succeed in their forensic science degree.

The Scholarship is funded by a donation from Eugenia Matthews. One scholarship will be available per year for the duration of the funding.

Benefits

Each Scholarship will have a value of $5,000 paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.

Selection Criteria

Applicants for the Scholarship must:

• be enrolled in a forensic science at Flinders University; and
• be registered and have an Access Plan with Health and Counselling for a disability which affects their learning*; and
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent humanitarian visa holder or a permanent resident of Australia; and
• be able to demonstrate financial need; and
• be maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

*This includes, but is not limited to, a specific learning disability such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and auditory processing disorder, and other disabilities which impact learning such as ADHD and autism.
