PhD Enterprise Scholarship

Together with a variety of industry partners, Flinders University is offering bright and curious people the opportunity to undertake leading-edge research that includes:

A scholarship of $28,854 per year (2022 full-time rate) tax free for 3.5 years
An eligible industry internship of 3-months minimum (60 days full-time equivalent), must be agreed in written form with a research end-user within 18 months candidature
The agreed industry internship can then be undertaken by the student at any point during their course
Access to academic and industry expertise through co-supervision.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a PhD Enterprise Scholarship you will need:

To be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or have, or are eligible to apply for, a relevant international visa; and
Meet Flinders University PhD admission requirements – and an applicant must have at least one of the following Australian qualifications (which must include studies relevant to the proposed field of research), or the equivalent qualification as approved by the relevant authorised delegate:
- A Bachelors degree with Honours class 1 or 2A
- A Doctor of Medicine with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5
- A Graduate Diploma or Masters degree by coursework with a research component of at least 18 units, with an average GPA of at least 6 in the research component
- A Masters by Research degree; and
- Are available to commence as a full-time PhD student at Flinders University in 2022.
Any other eligibility criteria relevant to the industry partner/research project as identified in the available project opportunities
