Most University buildings are accessible Mondays to Fridays between 7.30am and 6.00pm. Building access is managed by Security.

A current Flinders University swipe card is required for access to the Student Hub and the Library’s 24/7 zones (Central, Sturt and Tonsley). 24/7 access to these spaces is now automatically applied to all current and active ID cards. If you have any issues with access, please lodge a Service One request.

The exit the building, press the green button adjacent to the door.
To gain after hours access to a building, take your staff or student ID card to your college or department administration office where they will determine which buildings and rooms you are authorised to enter.
Your college or department office will gain approval then use ServiceOne to lodge a request for Security. Security will then program access on your card as per the approved request.
To unlock doors tap your card on the card reader. When the green light shows, it should open automatically if it is an automatic door. If not, please step back in front of the door sensor and the door will open.
To exit buildings, press the large green button adjacent to the door.
