Cycle paths

On campus, there are designated cycle lanes along University Drive, and a shared use path from Bellevue Heights through car park 3.

There is also a cycling path between Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses.

Parking your bike on campus

Secure your bike to rails in the following locations:

• Arrival Plaza - near Registry Road
• Humanities northern courtyard entrance and walkway to SSN
• Social Sciences South main entrance - adjacent car park 4
• Between Alan Mitchell building and Health Sciences building (upper level)
• Information Science and Technology (IST) - main entrance 
• Engineering - east side of IST building, adjacent Lakeside Walk
• Sturt - under Library
• Health and Medical Reseach Building (HMRB) - level 1 and level 2
• Northern side of the Flinders at Tonsley building
• Southern side of Factory of the Future, Tonsley.

Lockable bicycle store

Flinders University provides several free lockable bicycle stores for staff and students at Bedford Park, Sturt and Tonsley campuses. Access is available by swiping your Flinders staff or student ID card.  

Bedford Park and Sturt

The main campus bicycle stores are located:

1. Between the Alan Mitchell Building, Flinders Sport & Fitness, and the Health Sciences Building (lower level), Bedford Park. This location also includes charging points for e-bikes (users must supply their own charging cable).
2. Under the stairs between Anchor Court and the Physical Sciences Building, Bedford Park.
3. Under the Library, Sturt.
4. Near the level 1 (train station level) entrance to the Health and Medical Reseaerch Building (for those with building access.) If you require access, please submit a Building or Room Access request via Service One.

Tonsley Campus

There is another store on the northern side of the Flinders at Tonsley building, adjacent to the main entrance doors. 

Conditions of Use

Bicycles are stored at the owner's risk. Flinders University accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to bicycles or associated equipment stored in the bicycle stores.

Showers and change rooms are available in the following locations:

• Alan Mitchell Sports Centre (gym) - room 2007 female (F), room 2009 male (M)
• North Wing of the Sturt Building - room N249 (F) , N245 (M)
• Law and Commerce - room 220 (M/F)
• Biological Sciences - room 306 (F), room 210 (M)
• IST building - room 214 (F), room 216 (M)
• Physical Sciences - room 2009 (F), room 3100 (M)
• Sturt Gym - room G102 (F), room G116  (M)
• Tonsley - room 015 (F), room 014 (M), room 013 (accessible)
• Health and Medical Research Building - room 134 (F), room 133 (M) room 130 (accessible) - for those with building access.
