Researchers from Flinders University are collaborating with Fusetec to further improve the ultrasound imaging fidelity of Fusetec’s world-leading surgical training models, ensuring ultrasound scans more closely replicate those obtained from real patients in clinical practice.
Building on Fusetec’s proven cadaver-replacement solutions used globally by medical universities and tier-1 medical device companies, this project will refine the ultrasound-compatible performance of existing models to deliver more patient-like imaging across clinically relevant depths and anatomical regions.
These lifelike models will enable high-fidelity training in procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections and radiographic assessments, significantly improving image clarity, penetration depth, and diagnostic accuracy in simulated clinical environments.
The outcome will strengthen Fusetec’s position as a global leader in high-realism, imaging-enabled surgical simulation, supporting broader adoption by training providers and industry partners worldwide.
