Daniel Padovan is an Associate Lecturer (Teaching Specialist) in Sports Management.

As a part of his role, Daniel is the Course Coordinator for the Bachelor of Business (Sports Management). He also Topic Coordinates BUSN2051 (Sports Marketing), BUSN3068 (Sports Law) and BUSN3069 (Sports Leadership and Governance), BUSN1026, (Sports Management and Leadership), BUSN1027, (Exploring and Reporting Sport Business Data) and BUSN1028 (Introduction to Sports Marketing).

Daniel is also the Course Coordinator of the Flinders University Diploma in Sports Management which is taught in the newly established Port Adelaide Academy of Sport, based at the redeveloped Alberton Oval.

Before his career in academia, Daniel has worked in the emergency services and has also been part of the sports industry in various roles. Daniel's PhD is currently under examination and his research focuses on how adventure therapies can be used as additional treatments to aid mental health.

Over the years, Daniel has taught undergraduate and postgraduate topics in Sports Management, Strategic Management, International Business, as well as Marketing and Communications part-time at various institutions including Flinders since 2016 while completing his PhD. Daniel then became a full-time lecturer at Flinders University in 2022.

Daniel utilises a coaching approach to teaching and is very passionate about engaging and motivating students to succeed and achieve their goals. He also makes sure students can have some laughs and enjoy learning about the sports industry which they are passionate about.

Daniel also strongly encourages students to build skills by seeking practical experience via industry placements that will make them stand out from other candidates when they graduate. In everything he does when teaching, Daniel aims to make sure that his students are truly future ready.
