Counsellor
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students)
Hi, I’m a Student Counsellor at the City Campus. I’m a registered psychologist and I have worked in a range of educational settings, as well as in community mental health organisations and in private practice.
My approach is warm and non-judgemental. I provide a safe space for students to build insight and understanding of their emotional patterns, and to develop new ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings. I am quite solution focused, and I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies to support positive change and fresh perspectives.
I am interested in working with people from all walks of life, cultures, and beliefs. Having attended university in Australia, France, and Canada, I have a particular interest in supporting international students and students who have come to Australia as migrants or refuges.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and going horse riding and camping.
