Dr Loretta Bowshall-Freeman is the Deputy Teaching Program Director (Education), Deputy Lead Capacity Building & Impact (Research), lecturer and post-graduate research supervisor at the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work, Flinders University. Loretta has supervised and mentored initial teacher education pre-service teachers in the Public, Catholic, and Independent school systems for over twenty years and has written and facilitated mentoring programs for teachers. Research focuses on initial teacher education, with particular reference to the professional experience placement and education policy, mentoring and supervision, education assessment and evaluation, teacher professional development, and leadership in education.
