With over a decade of distinguished academic achievements and two decades of clinical experience, Associate Professor Paula Redpath stands at the forefront of mental health innovation, education, and advocacy. An experienced educator with over 10 years in higher education and a dual-qualified Psychotherapist and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Paula integrates deep expertise in psychotherapy, digital and telehealth service delivery, workforce development, and transdisciplinary supervision with a steadfast commitment to integrity, justice, and dignified care.
Since 2015, Paula has served as a Senior Lecturer in the College of Medicine and Public Health, where she has shaped the next generation of mental health professionals through transformative education in Mental Health Sciences, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Counselling (Behavioural Health). Her leadership has been pivotal in establishing and coordinating the postgraduate CBT programs and in founding the Discipline of Behavioural Health. She also spearheaded the Gender, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (GIDE) Committee, driving systemic change across the College.
Paula’s career spans private practice and public mental health services across acute, residential, and specialist community settings. Her work is defined by a visionary approach to co-designed, inclusive education that empowers diverse learners to thrive. Through strategic collaborations, advocacy, and engagement, Paula champions holistic well-being and seeks to cultivate educational environments where belonging and flourishing are every day experiences for students.
Paula is also completing her PhD exploring; Flourishing Neurodivergent Students – Promoting Well-Being and Thriving in Higher Education.
