Colbotic Automation is expanding its offering in precision welding by developing Colweld 3, a next-generation collaborative robot (cobot) laser welding system tailored for light metal fabrication.
Known for its cobot MIG welding solutions, Colbotic Automation identified growing demand for high-accuracy welding in components such as electrical cabinets, boxes, and enclosure assemblies, common in high-volume, small-part manufacturing.
Colbotic Automation, with support from Flinders University’s Factory of the Future, are developing an early concept of Colweld 3’s software and system design, to meet these emerging market needs and deliver greater precision, efficiency, and flexibility in automated cobot welding applications.
