We're excited to introduce the Flinders University Humanitarian Refugee Scholarships for international undergraduate students – a way for us to support students from a refugee background to be fearless and pursue their career goals by easing the financial challenges of university study.

Recipients of the Scholarship will have 100% of their International Tuition Fees waived for the duration of their study.

To be eligible to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

currently hold a Bridging Visa E (subclass 051), or Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785), or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (subclass 790), or Temporary (Humanitarian Concern) Visa (subclass 786). For information about Bridging Visa E (BVE) click here
have completed year 12 in South Australia in the year prior to commencing University study; and
be commencing a three year undergraduate course at Flinders University; and
normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University in an undergraduate course; and
be able to demonstrate financial support to cover the cost of living and study expenses (except for tuition fees).

Make sure you meet the scholarship eligibility before you apply and gather all relevant documentation. Please note we do not provide pre-assessment.

For students who meet the requirements for the Humanitarian Refugee Scholarship, submit before the application deadline and include your completed Humanitarian Refugee Scholarship application form.

Are you a new applicant to Flinders University?

Submit an application and you will be assessed, and advised within your Letter of Offer. If you are eligible you simply need to accept your offer for the scholarship to be awarded.
