Controlling COVID-19 through vaccination
Earlier this year Professor Jonathan Craig, along with Associate Professor Jill Carr and Professor Paul Ward, presented For the greater good: Controlling COVID-19 through vaccination (click here for recording). Australia was in the primary stages of its mass COVID-19 vaccine rollout, with a seismic shift expected in its fight against the global pandemic. Professor Craig and the panel discussed the behaviour of the COVID-19 virus, findings from the vaccine trials, the compliance issues and logistics of vaccinating our population, and how we manage vaccine hesitancy.
In this exclusive follow-up BRAVE event we welcomed Flinders experts:
to provide a framework that enables people to make informed decisions about their own vaccination.
Our special guest for this BRAVE lecture was Professor Julie Leask from the University of Sydney, whose research focusses on the social and behavioural aspects of immunisation. Julie also currently chairs the World Health Organization (WHO) Working Group on Measuring Behavioural and Social Drivers of Vaccination.
Professor Robyn Clark and guest panellists discuss how digital technologies can assist to help patients manage their conditions more easily.
Professor Mike Kyrios talked mental health, wellbeing and resilience building, and the importance of access to trusted information.
Prof Rebecca Golley discussed childhood obesity prevention, nutrition, and how to getter better nutrition onto kids’ plates.
