Meet our Vice-Chancellor Scholarship Recipients.

What motivates me in life is the opportunity to keep growing through new experiences and meaningful connections with people. I believe that meeting people from different backgrounds and listening to their stories helps me broaden the way I see the world.

For this reason, the Flinders VC Scholarship is meaningful to me not only as financial support, but also as an opportunity to take part in the Ambassador Program, connect with new people, and share experiences. I believe these experiences will help me grow both personally and professionally, and support me in becoming a more thoughtful and inclusive educator.

What’s your favourite subject or project that you are currently working on? 

My favourite subject that I am currently working on is Inclusive Teaching Practices because it is what I most wanted to learn when I came to Australia. I find it especially meaningful because inclusion is one of the most important values in Australian education, and it is helping me grow into the kind of educator I want to become.

Tell us something about your culture that you are looking forward to sharing with other students? 

Something from Korean culture that I would love to share is the university tradition of MT, which is a group retreat where students spend time together, eat, talk, play games, and build closer friendships. I like this culture because it creates a warm sense of connection and community.
