What motivates me in life is the desire to improve community health and support underserved populations who often lack access to proper healthcare.
My background in pharmacy and my volunteer experience in the National Service Scheme inspired me to pursue further studies in public health so I can contribute to disease prevention and stronger healthcare systems.
I aspire to make a meaningful impact on community health by addressing public health challenges and improving healthcare access, especially in underserved populations. My goal is to combine my background in pharmacy with advanced public health knowledge to design programs and policies that prevent diseases and promote well-being on a larger scale.
I chose to study in Australia because of its high-quality education system, advanced research facilities, and strong focus on practical learning in Public Health. While India has good universities, many programs are more theory-based, whereas Australian universities emphasize research, critical thinking, and real-world public health challenges.
After completing my Bachelor of Pharmacy, I want to build stronger skills in disease prevention and community health, which Australia’s public health programs are well known for.
One aspect of my culture that I am excited to share is the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—“the world is one family.” I also look forward to sharing India’s rich diversity, from its festivals, languages, and food to its music, dance, and traditions.
I appreciate how Indian culture blends ancient traditions with modern life, and I hope this can help others understand the values of inclusiveness, community, and respect.
If I had a superhero power, it would be the ability to detect and prevent diseases early or instantly. This would help protect communities, especially those with limited access to healthcare, and it aligns with my interest in public health and improving healthcare systems.
In my free time, I enjoy playing badminton, swimming, and traveling, which keep me active, curious, and open to new experiences.
My favourite film is The Lunchbox by Ritesh Batra, my favourite book is Why I Am an Atheist by Bhagat Singh.
