What drives me are values of justice, empathy, resilience, and collective liberation. I’m deeply motivated by the need to challenge systemic inequalities - to amplify voices that are often sidelined.
I’m motivated by the stories of resilience from marginalized communities, by the urgency of addressing climate justice, and by the deep desire to rewrite narratives that have been imposed on us for too long.
The Flinders Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship has been an incredible support in helping me achieve these goals. It has given me the financial stability to focus on my studies without the weight of financial burden, allowing me to fully immerse myself in learning about sustainable development, social justice, and the power of community-led change.
My favourite thing about studying in Adelaide is the sense of balance it offers; it’s a city that breathes. There’s space to think, to feel, to walk slowly and still be going somewhere. I love how close nature is, one moment I’m in class discussing decolonisation or sustainability, and the next I’m sitting by the River Torrens, watching the light change.
There’s a quiet charm to Adelaide that makes it feel gentle but intellectually alive. Plus, the community her, especially among students and creatives, feels intentional, diverse, and deeply supportive. It’s a city where I can be both reflective and radically hopeful.
My career aspirations are centered around working in the field of sustainable development, with a focus on policy-making and community-driven environmental justice. I aim to work as a Sustainability Consultant or Environmental Policy Advisor for organizations or governmental bodies, where I can shape strategies that integrate social equity with environmental protection.
Eventually, I hope to move into a leadership position, like Director of Sustainable Developmentor Chief Sustainability Officer, in an international NGO or a global environmental organization.

Something I truly enjoy sharing from my culture is the spirit of “togetherness.” In India, we grow up with a strong sense of community — whether it’s celebrating festivals, helping neighbors, or simply showing up for one another without being asked.
