Alistair Standish
Associate Professor in Biotechnology
Alistair is the Course Coordinator of the Master of Biotechnology at Flinders University. Passionate about developing the next generation of biotechnology professionals, he is committed to helping students from diverse backgrounds build the scientific, practical, and professional skills needed for success in a rapidly evolving industry. Through strong industry connections, personalised student support, and authentic real-world learning experiences, Alistair provides a supportive and engaging environment that helps students thrive during their studies and prepare for successful careers in biotechnology.
Jane Bickford
Senior Lecturer, College of Health and Enablement
Jane is a passionate university educator, researcher and certified practising speech pathologist. She is currently the Lead, Interprofessional Curriculum Innovation for the College of Health and Enablement and is contributing to exciting college-wide initiatives related to interprofessional learning. Jane also teaches in the Bachelor and Master of Speech Pathology programs. She has worked in a range of clinical and community settings, with diverse populations in both Australia and the UK. and her teaching excellence was recognised in 2025 with Senior Fellow for Advance HE and a VPED Team Award in 2024.
Vipul Pare
Professor of Marketing and Dean, College of Business, Creative Arts, Law and Social Sciences
Professor Vipul Pare is an accomplished academic leader, educator, and marketing scholar. He leads initiatives across workforce planning, staff development, wellbeing, curriculum advancement, and organisational culture. With a PhD in Marketing and more than 15 years’ higher education experience across Australia and Asia, he brings strong academic expertise and people-centred leadership. His research spans consumer-brand relationships, brand performance, higher education pedagogy, gamification, and artificial intelligence, with publications in leading marketing journals.
Georgina Maddox
Lecturer in Psychology, College of Human Sciences and Culture
Dr. Georgina A. Maddox is a teaching specialist in higher education with expertise in memory, cognition, and learning. She is the College Student Success Lead and SoTL Lead for the Human-centered AI Network (HumAIN), a recipient of Teaching Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning Awards, and a founding member of the Psychology of Applied Cognition and Teaching (PACT) Lab at Flinders University. Her research explores the impact of generative AI on memory, cognition, and learning, with a focus on developing best practice for AI-enabled teaching and preparing psychology graduates for future professional roles.
Professor Carl Mooney
Associate Professor and Deputy Dean (People and Resources), College of Science and Engineering
Carl Mooney is an Associate Professor, Deputy Dean (People & Resources), and Teaching Program Director in the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University. His work focuses on software engineering, database modelling, and resilient digital systems that support education, research, and operations. He specialises in workflow automation, data-driven platforms, and curriculum innovation, using technology to create scalable solutions and community impact. His leadership includes advancing software engineering education, strengthening governance, and enhancing digital experiences for staff, students, and partners.
