The Flinders Ageing Alliance is a newly established, centrally co-ordinated transdisciplinary research hub at Flinders University, built from the partnership of 16+ large Flinders’ research teams and individual research contributors and united by a shared commitment to improving the lives of older Australians.
A message from our Academic Director
The Flinders Ageing Alliance is committed to advancing research, collaboration, and innovation that improve the lives of older Australians. Ageing touches every family, every community, and every sector of society, and it is vital that we approach it with both compassion and evidence-based solutions.
Our work brings together researchers, consumer representatives, health professionals, and community partners to co-design projects that address the challenges and opportunities of ageing. By focusing on aged care, community wellbeing, and policy development, we aim to influence practice and shape systems that deliver dignity, inclusion, and impact.
As Academic Director, I am proud to lead an Alliance that values collaboration, consumer voices, and innovative solutions at its core. Together, we will continue to build knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that ageing research translates into meaningful outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
