BY FLINDERS BUSINESS SCHOOL
Growing up in Kuwait, Ann saw first-hand how businesses were embracing innovation, and digital transformation. That exposure sparked an early interest in the way organisations use technology and data to make better decisions.
Seeing how businesses embraced digital transformation inspired me to understand how organisations use technology and data to make better decisions.
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Computer Applications and gaining professional experience, Ann realised she wanted to build a broader understanding of business and leadership.
I wanted to do more than simply work in a business. I wanted to understand how businesses are managed, how strategic decisions are made, and how technology can drive growth and innovation. That motivated me to pursue an MBA.
When choosing where to study, Ann was looking for a course that would build practical capability and prepare her for a rapidly changing business environment.
When I started looking for MBA programs, I wasn’t looking for just another qualification, I wanted a program that would prepare me for the future of business. Flinders Business School stood out because of its strong industry focus, supportive learning environment, and emphasis on practical learning.
I wanted an MBA that challenged me to think differently rather than just teaching business theory.
The MBA (Business Analytics) allowed Ann to combine her interest in technology with business strategy, while developing her skills through projects that reflected real-world business challenges.
Rather than simply studying concepts, we were encouraged to analyse problems, work collaboratively, and develop solutions that could be applied in real organisations.
Learning alongside students from different industries and professional backgrounds also became an important part of the experience.
Every discussion brought new perspectives, and those conversations taught me that some of the best business solutions come from listening to different experiences and working together.
For Ann, the Business Analytics specialisation has fundamentally changed the way she approaches decision-making.
