What is Guaranteed Entry?

Guaranteed Entry gives qualifying Year 12 students confidence that a place in an eligible undergraduate course is waiting for them before final results are released.

*Guaranteed Entry is also available to eligible onshore international students currently completing Year 12 in Australia.

Requirements:

Complete Year 12
Meet the required selection rank
Meet prerequisite subjects
Satisfy any course specific requirements

Example:
A student receives Guaranteed Entry for Nursing in August. After completing Year 12 and achieving the required selection rank, they can proceed with her offer.

What is a Conditional Offer?

Entering university without an ATAR?* A Conditional Offer provides an early indication that you may qualify for entry into an eligible undergraduate course based on your previous study, work experience or qualifications.

*If you have an ATAR and less than two years of full-time higher education, you can apply using your ATAR or equivalent. See 'Current Year 12 students' for Guaranteed Entry eligibility.

Complete any required study
Meet course specific requirements

Example:
A student with a Certificate IV and relevant work experience receives a Conditional Offer for a Bachelor of Business, subject to providing their final transcript and supporting documentation.

What is a Conditional Offer?

A Conditional Offer provides an early indication that you may qualify for entry into an eligible postgraduate course based on your previous study, work experience or qualifications.

Completion of a bachelor degree
Submission of academic transcripts
Meeting GPA requirements
Meeting course specific prerequistes

Example:
A student receives a Conditional Offer for a postgraduate course while their final semester results are pending, subject to meeting the required GPA.

Eligible courses

Early offers are available across a range of courses.

Not all courses are eligible. Exclusions may include:

Limited intake courses
Restricted quota courses
Courses requiring interviews, auditions or portfolios
Courses requiring work experience for entry
Selected postgraduate courses with prerequisite subjects
One year Honours programs

Is an Intent to Offer the same as an official offer?

No, an Intent to Offer is not a formal offer of admission and does not guarantee entry into a course.
