The courses are designed to meet the increasing demand for professional development of current teachers and other professionals. They are not designed to be an initial preparation for teaching and do not lead to teacher registration. Graduates are suitable for careers in a variety of positions ranging from work as teachers in school classrooms, school coordinators and principals, curriculum and policy advisers in departments of education and as advisers to government and other policy makers.
These courses do not lead to teacher registration in South Australia.
The program aims to equip teachers, educators and leaders in schools, the community, workplaces, universities and training institutions to specialise and take leadership in promoting wellbeing and positive mental health.
It is designed to enhance your cognitive skills, reflective awareness and creativity to help you apply evidence-based knowledge, skills and capacities to apply wellbeing and positive mental health in educational contexts. Topics cover areas such as teaching and learning to promote wellbeing and positive mental health in schools and early childhood services, and planning change in organisations.
