The course aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop introductory training in acting and performance alongside practising industry professionals. The course is designed for those with a desire to build a career in the performing arts industry, as well as anyone wanting to increase their confidence in acting and public speaking skills

The course is completed in six months of full-time study, and students can continue further studies in the Bachelor of Creative Industries (Theatre & Performance) with credit or choose to audition for the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama) upon completion.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Digital and Entertainment Design aims to develop the creativity and practical skills required for success in the design and development of digital media. Graduates will learn how to work adaptively with new media and disruptive technologies in a fast-changing technologically driven industry environment.

The course is completed in six months of full-time study, and students can continue further studies in the Bachelor of Creative Industries (Digital Media) with credit upon completion.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Industry 4.0 exposes you to the digital technology that will drive the future. It covers key topics of innovation and Industry 4.0, 3D printing, robotics, IoT, cybersecurity, smart industries and design thinking, also including a digital transformation professional project.

The course is completed in six months of full-time study and students can continue further studies in the Diploma of Digital Technologies and the Bachelor of Information Technology.

This Undergraduate Certificate empowers students to develop health research and study skills and critically apply theoretical knowledge.

Why choose a Higher Education Certificate

By choosing to study a higher education certificate, you’ll gain a university-level qualification that:

  • Takes less time than a bachelor’s degree - allowing you to upskill or get a taste of your career path in as little as 6 months
  • Is cost effective – Commonwealth support is currently making higher education certificates even more affordable. Eligible students can also defer payment through HECS-HELP
  • Gives you a valuable qualification – Flinders’ higher education certificates are AQF accredited
  • Offers you a pathway towards a bachelor’s degree – credits from your studies can go towards further study

Fees

These courses are Commonwealth Supported.

Fees can be deferred under the HECS-HELP scheme. You pay back your HELP debt through the tax system once you earn above the compulsory repayment threshold. The repayment rate depends on your amount of taxable income.

All applications for Higher Education Certificates are submitted through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

Click on the ‘Apply now’ button to commence your application.

SATAC will notify you of your offer on behalf of Flinders University by emailing the offer letter to your last recorded email address in your application.
