This topic provides students with direct, practical experience in a variety of advanced archaeological field methods. Digital technologies and geophysical techniques are a focus within this topic. The student will attend a combination of workshops, as well as receive practical hands-on training. The learning focus is on students acquiring the skills they will require to gain employment in field based archaeology.
The assessment components for this course include; participation requirements, a quiz exercise, and a site report.
On completion of this short course participants will be expected to be able to:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement which states that this short course is equivalent to completion of the Flinders University topic ARCH8801.
Participants may be eligible to negotiate credit at another tertiary institution. We encourage participants to check this prior to registering for this short course.
This short course will be facilitated by Professor Mike Morley, Dr Daryl Wesley and special guest teachers from the discipline of Archaeology at Flinders University.
