Master of Clinical Education (Research)

Up to 80% off fees due to Government subsidies*

Explore a range of postgraduate Clinical Education courses with up to 80% off fees, including the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education, the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, and the Master of Clinical Education.

*Government subsidies enable Flinders to offer domestic applicants a reduction of up to 80% off full course fees through Commonwealth Support Places. Not all courses. Offer subject to change.

What will you study

The Clinical Education postgraduate courses at Flinders support health and social care practitioners to advance their expertise in education.

  • The Graduate Certificate (4 topics) has an applied focus on improving delivery of health and clinical education in a range of settings
  • The Graduate Diploma (8 topics) has a focus on building knowledge and skills to evaluate and improve health and clinical education
  • The Master of Clinical Education (coursework) (12 topics) builds on the first two awards, and supports health professionals to lead health and clinical education in a range of environments and systems
  • The Master of Clinical Education (research) is a higher degree by research program aimed exclusively at health practitioners who want to contribute to this specialist body of knowledge by undertaking a significant piece of educational research.

Graduates are suited for clinical teaching, curriculum development, and educational leadership roles in the public and private health and education sectors.

The courses provide health practitioners with a formal qualification in education which is highly regarded for educational leadership positions in the health service (e.g., Director of Clinical Training; Clinical Nurse Educator) and for university teaching positions.

Clinical Education teaching staff

The Clinical Education courses are co-ordinated by Dr Gillian Kette and teaching staff are located within the Prideaux Discipline of Clinical Education in the College of Medicine and Public Health.
