Our Remote Health Practice Program fosters advanced knowledge and specialised skills to enable the provision of quality care in resource poor settings for underserved populations. By focusing on both the unique challenges and rewarding opportunities in remote health, we prepare graduates to work effectively at the top of their scope of practice, emphasising culturally safe practice, within collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

Study options

Remote Health Practice Program provides education that underpins remote health practice locally, nationally and internationally, covering the remote context, public health, and application to practice.

It is a scaffolded learning pathway that articulates across the three postgraduate degrees to ensure comprehensive and continuous development of skills and knowledge in remote health.

Master of Remote and Indigenous Health

PhD in Public Health and Rural and Remote Health

Up to 80% off fees due to Government subsidies*

Explore postgraduate Remote Health Practice, with up to 80% off fees the Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice, Graduate Diploma in Remote Health Practice and Master of Remote and Indigenous Health.

*Government subsidies enable Flinders to offer domestic applicants a reduction of up to 80% off full course fees through Commonwealth Support Places. Not all courses. Offer subject to change.

Gayle Woodford Memorial Scholarship

Applications are now open until 30 June 2025

Jointly sponsored by CRANAplus and Flinders University College of Medicine and Public Health, this scholarship covers all course fees for the Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice offered through Flinders University. It is awarded once annually, for study to commence the following year. Applicants must typically hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution in a health related field. Scholarships will be awarded based on the likelihood and level of contribution the recipient will make to remote and Indigenous health.
