What is a combined degree?
At Flinders, a combined degree lets you study two degrees simultaneously, allowing you to graduate faster than completing the degrees separately. The degrees are structured to avoid duplication, streamlining your learning experience.
When you study a combined degree at Flinders, you'll graduate with two certificates.
Flinders has two types of combined degrees:
- A 'packaged' combined degree where two degrees are packaged under one SATAC code. You only need to apply to the one packaged combined degree.
- An 'unpackaged' combined degree where two degrees have two different SATAC codes. You must apply to both degrees.
How to apply.
To apply for a packaged combined degree on the SATAC website:
Search for your packaged combined degree via the single SATAC code, e.g.: Bachelor of Accounting / Bachelor of Criminology (SATAC code 284711).
Follow the application instructions.
To combine two separate degrees into a combined degree on the SATAC website:
Search for your primary degree via the SATAC code, e.g., Bachelor of Psychological Science (SATAC code 224651).
From the drop-down menu, select if you would like to combine your degree. If yes, choose your secondary degree (e.g., with the Bachelor of Business) to combine with your primary degree.

However, typically any elective topics within one degree can be supplanted by core topics within the other degree. This can result in some time reduction.
