The postgraduate high dependency nursing program aims to advance the knowledge of registered nurses in tertiary medical and surgical health care settings.
The courses are designed to meet the needs of nurses working in high dependency areas, as well as upskilling registered nurses to meet the needs of increasingly complex medical and surgical patients in a range of venues.
You will develop advanced theoretical knowledge and specialist skills that are essential for the registered nurse.
Theoretical concepts and nursing skills will be linked to current case studies that will require critical analysis and exploration. The theoretical underpinnings of medical and surgical high acuity/high dependency nursing will be explored along with the issues associated with providing this nursing care.
