The Graduate Diploma in Research Methods consists of 36 units (equivalent to one year).
The course will include 18 units of topics covering areas such as
communicating research, research methods, and literature review/research
proposal, in addition to an 18-unit research thesis/project.
It will enable you to undertake topics to develop your research
skills and/or generic and transferable skills to prepare you for entry
into higher degree research.
Graduates will gain the following:
- advanced knowledge of underlying academic principles and concepts in your area of study
- skills to independently plan research activities, manage your time, and present your research both orally and in writing
- the capacity and skills to undertake independent research
- the ability to critically evaluate and analyse complex issues and deploy evidence in support of a research output.
A graduate certificate option is available as an exit award only.
