Susan Rampling is an Occupational Therapist, Associate Professor and Discipline Lead for Clinical Rehabilitation and Advanced Practice, and Program Lead for Post-graduate Pathways and Professional Learning for the College of Health and Enablement. She has extensive experience across a range of clinical settings across Australia. Susan also completed an internship with the World Health Organisation Regional Office for Europe. Her current PhD research focuses on visual rehabilitation for people with autoimmune optic neuritis, combining clinical practice, education and research expertise.

Her research focuses on improving rehabilitation and self-management for people with neurological conditions and older adults, with a particular interest in increasing access to care, enhancing outcomes, and using technology to support rehabilitation and recovery.

Applicants normally need a related degree and at least two years of relevant clinical professional experience, or the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice.

The masters is a 54-unit award with core topics, a research or workplace project minor, and dedicated health leadership and innovation option topics

The course is 1.5 years full-time, or the equivalent part-time. Students have up to five years to complete the award.   

Yes, students complete a Research or Workplace Project minor as part of the masters structure.

Options include governance, AI, health systems policy, strategic communication, evidence implementation, rural health, financing and workforce development. 

Some courses have Commonwealth supported places (CSP) available for domestic students, which means the course is subsidised by the Commonwealth Government. A CSP student will pay this subsidised fee as their student contribution.

Alternatively, a full-fee-paying (FFP) place refers to a course that is not subsidised by the Commonwealth Government, or a course that has filled all available CSP places. A FFP student will pay this fee in its entirety.

Some courses may have both CSP and FFP places available.

Online or Tonsley campus.

Yes, the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Practice can provide a shorter entry point and can provide a pathway into further studies, subject to eligibility and course rules.
