Flinders online students have access to a range of support services, including learning support, financial assistance and career services. Many of these services and resources are available via a single online platform which can be accessed from anywhere on any internet capable device.

Learning support

Dedicated online coordinator

A dedicated online coordinator will teach and support you throughout the course of your studies. Your online tutors are also available to chat via phone, email, or on-campus if you decide to visit.

Student Learning Support Service

The Student Learning Support Service provides online resources and phone support, including extended phone consultation to help develop your study skills.

Virtual classrooms and discussion forums

Most topics have virtual classrooms or discussion forums, where you can participate in discussions and ask for help from your coordinator or tutor online.

Search Support Drop-ins: Students who are seeking further assistance with search skills, ranging from assignment searching to systematic style reviews, can attend regular online drop-in sessions to get customised support. No bookings are required.

All online students have access to Flinders Connect, our central support service. You can call or email Flinders Connect for help with enrolment support, exams, fees, scholarships, and for many other general enquiries.

CareerHub

Flinders CareerHub offers personalised job opportunities, access to employer events and free career related resources.

Counselling service

The University provides a free and confidential counselling service to assist students with mental health and wellbeing, along with personal, disability and study related matters. Online students can speak to counsellors over the phone or via email.

You can access this service for academic and personal issues including time management/procrastination, academic planning, exam anxiety, support for extensions and supplementary examination applications as well as low self-confidence, depression, anxiety, stress management, problem solving/decision making.
