  • core topics in introduction to tourism studies, introduction to events, interpretation for tourism, marketing principles, academic and professional communication, accounting for managers, and tourism & events portfolio
  • choice of an option topic.

Second year

A typical second year might include:
  • core topics in research methods; place, culture and tourism; event design and management, and introduction to digital graphic design
  • a selection of option topics.

Third year

A typical third year might include:
  • core topics in contemporary issues in tourism, tourism & events business planning and innovation, and sustainable tourism planning and development
  • a tourism or event studies-focused placement
  • a tourism or events research project
  • a selection of option topics, including an opportunity to participate in an international field trip.

Study abroad
